Here is part 1 of a fun series by David Collier. The photographer has worked with Emily and Nicole Rossato, the “crazy Italian sisters” as he called them with lots of love. They recently made contact again as they had just moved to a cool terrace house in Surry Hills (Australia). The concept was about having some food and drinks, a mini party and getting ready to have a night on the town.
They also invited a new comer, another Italian girl named Sarah Ghezzi who had asked to assist David to get some experience, but she naturally ended up modelling for this and also helping him on the day.
They had so much fun at home that they never did make it out. A lot of David’s work is story based, he likes to keep it real and pretty candid. He doesn’t over direct people, letting it flow, having fun and seing where it may lead. They shot with polaroids as well as 35mm film and also some Super 8 motion on the day.
This series captures the essence of friendship and getting together as girls do before a night out on the town but as the photos show that did not happen.
