Here is a beautiful series by Copenhagen’s Mads Berg. The artist has a unique illustration style characterized by giving classic/vintage poster art a modern, graphical and timeless look. Mads uses pencil (HB or 2B) for sketching. Once the composition is in place, he then adds color and textures digitally.
Mads graduated from the Danish Design School in 2001, and has been working independently as an illustrator ever since. He occasionally works as a lecturer at design schools and has often been member of the jury, awarding the best in Swedish and Norwegian Contemporary Illustration. In 2010 he won the “Best Danish Children’s Comic” prize and in 2009 he won the Danish Design Prize. Mad’s poster art is represented at the Danish National Design Archives.
The first piece of this series was exclusively made for the OK OKAY MAG community.
